Halloween Party Flyer Fonts
A good flyer gets read from across a hallway in two seconds. People see the party name, the date, and the vibe. Everything else is for the ones who walk closer. These Halloween party flyer fonts handle the first part: one loud word that tells everyone what kind of night it will be.
A flyer recipe that works every time
- One headline in a horror font. The party name, two or three words at most. "MASQUERADE" or "HAUNTED HOUSE" is plenty.
- Everything else in a plain font. Date, time, address, dress code and RSVP go in a simple sans-serif. Readers need to copy the address without squinting.
- Size ratio of about 4 to 1. If the details are 24 pt, make the headline around 96 pt or more. The gap in size is what makes a flyer feel designed.
- High contrast only. Deep red or white on black, or black on bone white. Red on orange looks muddy from a distance.
- Frame it with drips. Lay one of the bonus blood-drip border PNGs across the top edge so the page looks like it's bleeding.
- Leave empty space. A third of the page with nothing on it makes the headline louder, not weaker.
Not sure which plain font to use for the small lines? The horror font pairings guide matches each style with body fonts that won't fight it.
Which font for which party
- Costume party or masquerade: the dripping blood font. Painted brush letters feel like an invitation, a little theatrical, not too gory.
- Haunted house or scream park: the distressed scratch font. Torn, worn lettering looks like a sign nailed to a barn door.
- Kids' trick-or-treat or a school event: the melting blood font. Rounded, gooey, readable, and silly enough for little ones. Print it in green or purple instead of red.
- Club night or 21+ party: the claw scratch font. Sharp and clean, it sits well next to neon colors and a DJ lineup.
- Gory movie marathon: the bloody dripping letters font, with its long tails.
Same party, every format
Most parties need more than a paper flyer. Use the same headline font for the printed poster, the phone story, and the group chat image, so guests recognize it everywhere. The story mockup below uses a single word and a "tickets in bio" line. The bundle card shows the extras you get to dress them up.

Each font is $6. For a flyer you'll want the borders and splatters too, so the horror font bundle at $14 is the better deal.

Questions people ask
Can I print and hand out flyers made with these fonts?
Yes. Flyers, posters, tickets and social posts for your own events or a client's events are covered by the standard license.
What size should the headline be on a letter-size flyer?
Aim for letters 1.5 to 3 inches tall. That is roughly 100 to 200 pt. Smaller than that and the drips lose their shape when printed.
Can I make the flyer in Canva?
Yes, with Canva Pro or Teams, which lets you upload fonts. Our Halloween fonts for Canva page shows the steps.
