Made for big, loud words
This is a display font. It shines at headline size: a party name, a date, a single scary word across a shirt. Every letter was painted with a dry brush, so the edges are rough and the drips are uneven. No two drips line up, which is what keeps it from looking like clip art.
Keep it big. Below about 24 points the drips start to fill in. For the small details on a flyer, like the address or "costumes required", pair it with a plain sans-serif. Our horror font pairings guide lists free body fonts that sit well next to it.
Tips for a real blood look
- Pick a deep red, not a bright one. Something like #B3121F reads as blood. Pure #FF0000 looks like a sale sign.
- Mix the two letter sets. Type some letters in caps and some in lowercase ("BLooD MooN"). You get two drawings of each letter, so repeats don't look copied.
- Leave space under the words. The drips hang below the baseline. Add a little extra line spacing so they don't crash into the next line.
- Tighten tracking for logos. Kerning is built in. For a logo, pull letter spacing in a little (-10 to -20) so the drips overlap.

Questions people ask
Does this dripping blood font work in Canva?
Yes, if you have Canva Pro (or Teams). Go to Brand Kit, choose "Upload a font" and pick the .otf file. Free Canva accounts can't upload fonts.
Can I use it on shirts and stickers I sell?
Yes. The standard license covers printed products you sell, print-on-demand shops, Cricut projects and client logos. You just can't sell or share the font file itself. Read the license.
Does it have lowercase letters?
Not in the usual sense. It's an all-caps display font. The lowercase keys give you a second drawing of each capital, so typing "HaLLoWeen" mixes two versions of every letter.
Does it have accents?
Yes: Á É Í Ó Ú Ñ Ü Ç À È Ê Ô Ã Õ and more, for Spanish, French, German and Portuguese.
Does it work in Google Docs?
No. Google Docs can't load fonts you install yourself. Use Word, Canva, Photoshop, Procreate or Cricut instead.
Which file should I install?
Install the OTF on Mac or Windows. If an older app or Silhouette has trouble, use the TTF instead. Install one or the other, not both.
